Never told what help is out there

My friend has a personal assistant who helps a lot. Now he told me that I would be entitled to this, but it took yet another time in crises for a professional to inform me of this extra help I can receive . I think if I had a PA it would help to conquer feelings of being alone, and help me to maintain my personal safety. I would never hurt myself around other people. On a bad day they could help to get me out of my house. My CPN is more than happy to refer me for direct payments. This was the home treatment's answer to a time of crises. I believe it could help in the long run, as it will take a few weeks to organise. I was desperate for some form of help for now, what can help to maintain my safety. I expect that not many people are made fully aware of the extra help they could be entitled to, which may save money- but not lives!
