A Very Short But Very Illustrative Story

Once upon a time there was an ant. The ant lived in an anthill and worked hard every day.
In autumn the ant would collect leaves that had fallen off trees. The leaves would be munched up by other ants and turned into food and furniture.
One morning, as the ant was returning home with a leaf, it encountered a big hole in the ground that wasn't there before and required a wide detour.
Anxious to tell everyone about the big hole, the ant slipped into the hole and was then squished by a big foot.
Ah well.
