Government plan to scrape and outlaw strong encryption

The UK government are planning to scrape strong encryption and allow backdoors into our security systems throughout society in the UK. This idea is pointless for it allows them access and also the possibility of criminals gaining access to our communication systems over the Internet by gaining such access themselves, this will put our society in a situation causing damage for those backdoors could be penetrated by criminal hackers, therefore increasing the likelihood of increasing criminally in society/cyberspace. There is a petition on the UK government site that requires signatures, searching on 'encryption' will find that petition on their site. I highly recommend that UK netizens sign this petition because the government doesn't understand about the benefits of encryption; Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Apple and Twitter have also sent in a reply to the UK government explaining the situation to them on why this action is not wise.
